Yunnan: Colorful Garden Of The World- The Beauty of Harmony

Yunnan is a place where man and nature coexist in harmony. Here in Yunnan, people respect nature and live in harmony with nature. There are 25 ethnic minorities in Yunnan, and each of them has a long history and splendid culture. The richness of ethnic minorities is unique to the whole country and has a high reputation in the world. The ethnic minorities in Yunnan have unique ecological cultures. For thousands of years, the ecological cultures of various ethnic groups have formed a complete system of ecological cultures, which become an important basis for people to explain the origin of heaven and earth, natural evolution, as well as production and life. The ecosystem in the Yunnan ethnic minority areas is also a cultural ecosystem called a scary landscape at the same time. All ethnic groups have deep admiration and worship for heaven and earth, mountains, rivers and lakes, forests, wetlands, etc., and have established a complete system of ecological cultures.

The ecological culture systems of various ethnic groups are well recorded in their cultural components such as myths, epics, legends, astronomy, calendars, environmental knowledge, production, and life, which is an important part of human civilization. The nature worship of humans originates from the interactive relationship between humans and nature. Awe is the basis of protection, and only awe of nature can protect nature. In addition, Yunnan's ecological security barriers and biodiversity-rich areas are almost all located in multi-ethnic areas. In the practice of forging the consciousness of the Community for the Chinese Nation, all ethnic groups hug each other like pomegranate seeds.

Yunnan is an eco-security shield in Southwest China. Yunnan is connected with surrounding countries by mountains and rivers, and shouldering the major responsibility of maintaining regional, national and international ecological security. In Yunnan, there are 3 eco-security shields, namely, the alpine valleys in the south of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau/North-west Yunnan, the barrier of Ailaoshan Mountain-Wuliangshan Mountain, the tropical forest barrier of the southern border; and 2 belts, namely the dry-hot valley zone of the Jinshajiang River and the Lancang River, and the southeast Karst zone. These "three barriers and two belts" are the focus of the red line of ecological protection.

Yunnan is located in the southwestern frontier of China, with 4,060 kilometers borderline. Yunnan and neighboring countries share rivers of the same origin and have a long history of contact. Yunnan is an important channel connecting China with South Asia and Southeast Asia, an important intersection for 2 national development strategies, namely, the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the "Yangtze River Economic Belt", It is vital and wise for Yunnan to target on both the Yangtze River and the Pearl River and work closely with South Asian and Southeast Asian countries to build an ecological community of shared future.
