The Nine-Dragon River used to be known as Xijiu Creek and originated from the Mohong Village of Fuyuan County with a total length of 96 km. It joins the Huangni River, flows through Guizhou and Guangxi before entering into the Pearl River, which eventually runs into the South Sea.     Below the Blue Pool, three mini waterfalls are divided by the sand pile in the middle of the river. Reeds by the river grow robustly and form serene scenery.

    The Fun Pool is 90 meters wide and 100 meters long, which is a place of great fun for Children. The Antiphonal Festival and the Water Sprinkling Festival are great occasions of lots of fun here. 

       The Rhinoceros Pool, a half-round in shape, is said to be an indicator of local climatic changes. Water turns muddy to forecast changes. It was here that an unprecedented parachuting performance was held on April 23, 2001. Han Qiaosheng, a famous sports commentator with CCTV, made it quite impressive. Above this pool are four flights of travertine stairs flanked by trickles with pools in between.

    The Dragon Waterfall, the biggest one, drops 56 meters and with a width of 112 meters, creating a fascinating view. Standing here, tourists will see the magnificent torrent, hear the thunderous flow, and get a clear picture of the following scene: “Its torrent dashes down from three thousand feet high as if the Silver River fell from the azure sky". Tourists can also get closer via a bamboo raft on the pool below. Tourists will find a mini watermill 15 meters in height and 70 meters in width between two clear pools, which is called Dragon Wandering Waterfall. It looks like a dragon lying on the water. A pool, 120 meters long and 70 meters wide, connects the mini waterfall with the Lovers Waterfall, the next highest, 43 meters in height and 39 meters in width. 

    The Cotton Waterfall got its name from a master fluffing cotton with a bow who associated water with his trade. An interesting couplet goes like this“water white as cotton and sprays spread without bows drawn, clouds colorful as roses and cloth embroidered without shuttles done". 

    Tourists can have a panoramic view of the waterfall clusters on the observation platform by riding on a horse carriage. From here there is a beautiful prospect over green hills and clean water, forming a feast for the eyes.
