In many people’s opinions that Lijiang was become a commercial travel destination, it lose the quiet and pure scenery gradually. I think it is wrong, because you have not find the right place in Lijiang to get what you want to find in Lijiang. Lijiang is still that place in your imagination  which is full of blue sky, charming blooms and peaceful environment.

Qingxi Reservoir

Qingxi Reservoir is located in the northern suburb of Lijiang City, which is also one of the sources of drinking water in Lijiang. It is a good place for hot summer to relax. Bring the whole family to enjoy the nature, it also a good place for camping. At night, you can count the stars and see the moon with your family and friends.

Yuhu Village

More than ten kilometers north of the ancient town of Lijiang, there is a village called "Wu Luken", meaning the village at the foot of the snow mountain. This is the "Yuhu Village".

Yuhu Lake was an artificial lake dug by the Mu family before the Ming Dynasty. Mu built a summer palace, and a deer farm around the lake. The earliest residents of Yuhu Village were those who raised deer for the Naxi King's Palace. Therefore, it is also called "Chong Kuo Luo". Naxi folk songs also often refer to Yuhu and Snow Mountain Deer Farm. In the Yuhu Lake, the water grass is swaying in the clear snow water. The tall Yulong Snow Mountain reflected in the lake. This "Yuhu Reflection" is one of the famous "Twelve Sceneries of Jade Dragon".

Blue Moon Valley

Blue Moon Valley, its predecessor was known as "Baishui River". On a sunny day, the color of the water is blue. Due to the special shape of the lake, it looks like a blue moon embedded at the foot of the Jade Dragon  The name of Baishui River is because the mud at the bottom of the lake is white, and the water will become white when it rains, so it is also called Baishui River.

The river in the Blue Moon Valley was blocked by mountains during the flow process, forming four large water surfaces, known as "Yuye" Lake, "Jingtan" Lake, "Blue Moon" Lake and "Tingtao" Lake.

It is also said that because the moon is reflected in the blue lake against the blue sky, and because the blue moon valley in the "Disappearing Horizon" written by British writer Hilton is similar to this, it is called "Blue Moon Valley".

Lashihia Lake

Lashihai Lake is located in the middle of Lashiba, 10 kilometers west of Lijiang City, and is the first nature reserve named after “wetland” in Yunnan Province. Compared to other places, Lashihai Lake is relatively famous, but its scenery cannot be underestimated!

Zhiyun Temple

Zhiyun Temple in Lijiang is located in the western foothills of Lashiba, 18 kilometers west of the ancient town of Lijiang. It was built in 1727 and is one of the five major Lama temples in Lijiang.

The white stupa is magnificent from the entrance to the temple gate. There is a big ginkgo tree in front of the temple. When the leaves are yellow, it is very beautiful.

Shuhe Ancient Town

You may choose Dayan Ancient Town as the destination when you every first time to visit Lijiang. But many tourists feel that Dayan Ancient Town is too commercial. If you do n’t go to Shuhe Ancient Town, you will not find that Lijiang also has such a quiet and simple ancient town. There, you can drink coffee, be in a daze, stand on the bridge and walk on the stone road of the ancient town.

Baishuitai

The Baishuitai is located in the foothills of the Haba Snow Mountain, 103 kilometers from Shangri-La County, and 2,380 meters above sea level. It is a natural wonder formed by the dissolution of calcium carbonate in spring water. The spring water containing calcium bicarbonate slowly flows down, and the carbonate gradually precipitates, year after year, it has formed a shape like terraces for many years. It is called“legacy fields left by fairies” and covers an area of about 3 square kilometers, being the largest spring terraces in China.

The beauty of Baishuitai looks like the daylight beams shining on the earth or the silver ornaments on the costumes of Naxi girls. Strolling up and down the layers of Baishuitai, you can feel the magnificent scene of "pearls falling into a jade plate". This is actually a natural wonder that is formed by the dissolution and slow calcification of calcium carbonate in spring water. It is called the "uncanny workmanship" of nature.

The sunlight shines on the pool water and reflects different colors, and with the reflection of the blue sky and white clouds, it is not easy for visitors to walk away from such fairyland-like White Water Terraces.
