In the first day of 2019, the 31st Camellia Exhibition has Opened in the Golden Temple Park in Kunming city. It is expected that Camellia will enter the best viewing period around the Spring Festival. Visitors can enjoy more than 1200 varieties of about 400,000 camellia blooms at that time.

There are a camellia tree which has been more than 400 years old, it is called “Dianqianhong”(means red in front of the temple). Dianqianhong is  the most famous Yunnan ancient camellia tree. According to the growth rule of Camellia ,the blooms period is once every two years. It is just a flowering season this year, so it is also the year with the most flowers and the best viewing.
