Exhibition of Ancient Painting and Calligraphy Selected from Yuxi Region

Exhibition of Ancient Painting and Calligraphy Selected from Yuxi Region will be held at the Chinese Calligraphy and Panting Hall in Yunnan Provincial Museum from April 14th to May 21st.

There are about 100 calligraphy and panting collections on show, dating back to the Qing dynasty. In addition to artworks of Yuxi artists (such as Kanzhenzhao, Zhongyue, Zhouyuli, Zhaoshilin, Maruwei, Zhujiabao, etc.), other artists from Yunnan and other provinces will also be displayed (such as Li Gu from Kunming, Yinzhuangtu from Mengzi, Liaoronglun from Shiping, Liu Lang from Hennan, Bai Ding from Hunan, etc).

With the deepening of Han culture and the influence of the Imperial examination system from Ming and Qing dynasty, a great number of poets and painters began to emerge in Yunnan.
