Kunming, Dali and Lijiang listed as top 10 travel destinations

Ctrip (a Chinese provider of travel services) has released a survey on “Popular destinations during the Tomb Sweeping Holiday, 2017”, which incudes the top ten most popular cities, top ten destinations for leisure and top ten favoured scenic areas in China.

The top ten most popular cities are: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Tianjin, Chongqing and Wuhan.

The top ten destinations for leisure are: Chengdu, Sanya, Kunming, Xiamen, Lijiang, Hangzhou, Guilin, Dali, Zhuhai and Guizhou. In which Chengdu, Kunming and Dali are reputed for their slow paced lifestyle while Sanya, Xiamen and Zhuhai were nominated due to their noted islands and beach resorts.

In addition, Lijiang was nominated as the “most sought-after scenic area” during the three-day holiday. And the rest of the favoured scenic areas are: West Lake in Hangzhou, Shanghai Bund, Shanghai Disneyland, the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Summer Palace in Beijing, Wuyuan in Huangshan, Jiuzhai Valley in Sichuan, Wuzhen Village in Zhejiang and Gulangyu Island in Xiamen.
