China Pu’er Tea Festival is held in Pu’er City every April. The purpose of this event is to promote the tea culture and the pluralistic ethnic culture of Pu’er, to display the culture brand contains national and regional characteristics of Puer, to create the image of Pu’er as "the origin  of tea of the world, the city of tea in China, the Kingdom of Pu'er tea", and to introduce Pu'er to the world.

        During the festival, Pu’er not only offers cultural performance with local ethnic characteristics, but also provide merchants and tourists all over the county excellent activities on experiencing and exchanging the culture of Pu’er tea.
