Most of the Zhuangs in Yunnan mainly live in Wenshan Prefecture in the southeast of Yunnan. For example, Guangnan County’s Bamei which is depicted as “Peach Blossom Valley” and Qiubei County’s Puzhehei which is famed for lotus flowers and Karst landscapes are two beautiful Zhuang-inhabited areas. 

The Zhuangs are good at singing; they can compose different songs inspired by working (at fields), cooking, romance involvement, changes of eras and vicissitudes of history etc. Besides, the Zhuangs have made over 50 kinds of music instruments, and the Zhuangs-inhabited areas are referred to as “besides mountains and by waters” reverberating with melodic songs.
