Guanglu ancient town

Guanglu is 12 km north from the county seat of Yao’an. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the architecture complex of Guanglu is laid out in a model of a Chinese character-“坤” which means “the Earth” in the Eight Diagrams. Guanglu was historically an important stop of the South Silk Road.

 

Longhua Temple

First built in Tianyou Period of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), it is among the oldest temples in Yunnan Province. On each lunar February 8th, “Longhua Temple Fair” is held for locals to stage folk cultural shows and trade fair. 

 

The Mansion of Yaoan Tribal Command

The mansion of Yaoan Tribal Command was set up as early as 1328 to administer the vial and military affairs in Yaoan County.
