Nanmei Lahu ethnic village

48 km from the local council of Linxiang District, Lincang Municipality in the west of Yunnan, the village features stilted houses, ancient tales told from generation to generation, delicious green food and the aromatic Lahu King Wine etc.

One of the highlights of the village is the Lahu ethnic costumes that are totally different from those in Lancang in the south of Yunnan.

Among the festivals the Lahu people of Nanmei spend, the Bridging Festival (Da Qiao Jie) is typical. During the Festival, many visitors come to join in the celebrations with the locals. With flaming bonfires and accompanied by the melodious Lusheng (a kind of musical instrument made from reed pipes), you can get refreshed by enjoying the primitive and unconstrained local singing and dancing.
