Set to be held on each lunar 15 January, the Costumes Competition is a significant event for the Yi ethnic ladies in the village of Zhiju of Yongren County of Chuxiong Prefecture in Central Yunnan Province. At the event are the participants of all ages who “show off” their handmade dazzling costumes and embroidered works.
