Kuoshi Festival

Kuoshi is a transliteration of the Lisu ethnic language, meaning the beginning of the year. The Kuoshi festival is the grandest of the Lisu ethnic group and spent on each 20 December in Nujiang Prefecture in Northwest Yunnan. During the festival, a series of jubilant Lisu ethnic traditional activities are organised such as singing, dancing, crossbow shooting competition, and playing on the swings etc.
