Major Venue: Cangyuan County, Lincang (W Yunnan)

As a traditional festival of the Wa ethnic group, it takes place in each May Day. It derives an ancient tradition of the Wa ethnic group, wearing a kind of healthy paste on the face for exorcising. Nowadays, the festival has become a grand carnival and people smear the health-friendly black paste onto each other to express best wishes so Monihei can be vividly called “touch you black”.
